Brazilian football legend, Pele says he has no explanation for the 7-1 Brazil thrashing by Germany at the 2014 World Cup.
As host of the World Cup last year, expectations on Brazil were enormous as fans expected them to go all the way to the final and maybe win it.
They were on course to do that until they received a 7-1 thrashing by Germany in the semi-finals leaving the whole country stunned.
When Pele was asked what went wrong in that match, he said: "Brazil could lose, 1-0 or 2-0, but to lose 7-1 and the second game (third place play-off) we lost 3-0, it's something only God can explain."
Pele was speaking in an interview conducted by Arsenalmidfielder Jack Wilshere during the launch party of 10Ten Talent.
Both Wilshere and Pele, are clients of the management company.
Wilshere was asking the legends questions he had received from fans on Twitter and the memorable 7-1 Brazil thrashing was among the topics discussed.
"It was something nobody can explain," Pele furter said about the match.
"When we were preparing for the World Cup the two teams everybody, even people who don't know football, expected to be in the final were Spain and Brazil.
"Those were the two teams that were supposed to be in the final.
"But the German team, I saw them play two years before and they were very, very good. They were very well prepared.
"And then of course there was the disaster, it really was a disaster.
"It was something nobody could predict."
